“Serve The Music First.”

Master Session Studios was founded by Mike Byrd, a drummer and audio engineer whose approach to recording and mixing begins with the music itself. Years behind the drum kit have shaped an instinctive understanding of feel, dynamics, arrangement, and the role each instrument plays within a mix.

That musical perspective carries directly into the studio. Rather than approaching a recording as a collection of technical processes, the focus is on capturing a genuine performance, making deliberate mixing and production choices, and serving the song.

From custom drum tracks and overdubs to recording and mixing, every project receives personal attention from the first conversation through the final result.
